When should I start looking for my wedding dress?

We recommend beginning your dress search 9 to 12 months before your wedding date. Ideally, your gown should be ordered 8 to 10 months in advance, allowing ample time for production, delivery, and alterations.

On a shorter timeline? Many designers offer rush options for an additional fee.

If you book an appointment more than 18 months in advance, we may need to reschedule or cancel it. This is particularly applicable during peak season to ensure that brides with shorter timelines have the opportunity to find their gown in time. We want to make sure every bride has the best possible experience, regardless of their wedding date.

Do I need to book an appointment?

Yes, for ceremony gowns or if you want the full bridal experience while shopping for ready-to-wear (RTW) gowns, we recommend booking an appointment. This ensures that you receive dedicated one-on-one time with one of our bridal stylists.

To guarantee the best experience, we suggest reserving your spot in advance.

We know this is an exciting journey, and to provide you with the best possible service, we do require appointments for a seamless experience.

The easiest way to schedule your visit is through our online booking system, or feel free to email us at info@theivoryclub.be —we’ll be happy to assist!

If you’re coming in for veils, shoes, accessories, or to explore our RTW civil wedding styles, no appointment is necessary. Feel free to stop by whenever it's convenient for you!
please note that during peak season both of our bridal stylists may already be assisting other clients. While a fitting room will always be available, we may not be able to offer you the full attention and experience that comes with a scheduled appointment.

Weekend Appointments:

We understand that weekends are often the most convenient time for brides to visit, which is why we offer weekend appointments. However, due to high demand during these peak times, we charge a €50 booking fee for all weekend appointments. This helps us ensure that we can provide you with the personalized and undivided attention you deserve, even when we’re busiest.

The good news is that this €50 booking fee is fully refundable if you make a purchase with a starting value of €100 or more. We want to make sure that your bridal experience is special, and this fee guarantees we can reserve the right time and space for you.

How long is my appointment?

  • First fitting: 1.5 hours – This includes a personalized consultation, browsing our collection, and trying on a variety of gowns. We’ll take the time to understand your vision and help you explore different styles.

  • Second fitting: 45 minutes – This is for revisiting your favorite dresses, refining your selection, and making a final decision.

If you need more time to ensure you’ve found the one, we’re more than happy to schedule additional appointments to give you the attention you deserve.

What is The Ivory Club’s bridal process?

Your private appointment includes a one-on-one consultation with a dedicated bridal stylist. Once you’ve found your gown, we take your measurements and order the closest standard size.

Approximately 90% of our gowns are made to order, with production taking four to six months, plus a few additional weeks for shipping.

When your dress arrives, we invite you for a second fitting to assess any alterations. A few weeks later, you’ll return for your final fitting and collection.

If you choose a gown from our civil wedding range, you may take it home the same day. Alterations are available if needed.

Who should I bring to my appointment?

We want your experience to be intimate and memorable, so we recommend bringing up to five of your closest loved ones to share in this special moment. If you’d like to include someone else—whether it’s your grandmother, a lifelong friend, or someone who has been by your side throughout your journey—just let us know. We’ll make sure there’s a seat reserved for them, so everyone can be part of this exciting experience.

What sizes are available in The Ivory Club’s sample gowns?

Our sample gowns are generally sized 38-40 (European sizing). Some may fit slightly smaller or larger, but don’t worry if your size falls outside this range. We are experts at properly pinning and clipping the gowns to give you an accurate sense of how the dress will look once it’s tailored to your exact measurements. Our goal is to ensure you get a clear vision of how the gown will fit when it’s custom-fitted just for you.

What is the price range of your gowns?

We offer a range of styles to suit different budgets:

  • Civil wedding gowns: €350 – €1,800 (average price: €800).

  • Ceremony gowns: €2,500 – €5,000 (average price: €3,000).

For more details on pricing per designer, visit our Designers page.

How should I prepare for my fitting?

For the best experience, we recommend:

  • Seamless, nude undergarments for a smooth fit.

  • Shoes are not a must, as we have sample shoes available, but if you have a pair you love, feel free to bring them!

  • Most importantly, bring your natural self—we want you to feel comfortable and authentic as you try on your dream gown.

Do you offer alterations?

Yes! We are fortunate to have two in-house couturiers who will work closely with you to ensure your dream gown fits perfectly. Alteration costs for ceremony gowns typically range from €150 to €300, depending on the extent of the changes and the style of the gown. For ready-to-wear (RTW) gowns, alteration costs generally range from €75 to €150.

Please note that alteration costs are separate from the price of your gown. If significant changes are required—such as taking in multiple sizes due to weight loss or making pattern adjustments for a change in style—additional costs may apply.

If you'd like a detailed estimate of alteration costs, feel free to email us at info@theivoryclub.be. We'll be happy to discuss the specific work required and provide a breakdown of the associated costs.

How can I pay for my gown?

We offer several convenient payment options for your gown:

  • Bank transfer

  • Credit or debit cards

  • Cash (in-store)

When you place your order, a 60% deposit is required to confirm your purchase and begin the gown's production. This deposit ensures your gown is reserved and prepared according to your specific measurements and preferences.

The remaining 40% of the total price is due at your second fitting, just before your gown is ready for final pickup. Please note that the full balance must be settled before you can take your gown home.

If you have any specific questions or need to discuss alternative payment arrangements, feel free to contact us. We're happy to assist you with any payment concerns you may have.

What is your return/cancellation policy?

As all our gowns are made to order, all sales are final. Once your deposit is paid, your wedding gown is immediately ordered, and the designer begins handcrafting your dress that same week. This is a detailed and time-intensive process, so unfortunately, cancellations are not possible once the deposit is made. This policy also applies to purchases of sample sale gowns.

Additionally, deposits are non-refundable. The reason for this is that each gown is custom-made to your exact preferences and measurements, and we begin the production process as soon as the order is confirmed.

We highly recommend taking your time to ensure your gown is truly "the one" before committing. Our bridal stylists are always here to assist and guide you through your decision to make sure you feel confident in your choice.
